Fergna, Ep. Abb. (2. März). Dieser Heilige war ein Bischof in England und Abt im St. Columba-Kloster auf der Insel Hy. Er soll dem hl. Columba gefolgt, 21 Jahre dem Kloster vorgestanden und im J. 622 gestorben seyn. Ob er dem Heiligen verwandt war und etwa derselbe ist, der in dessen Leben Virgnous oder Fergnovus genannt wird, läßt sich nicht entscheiden. (I. 125.)
