185Franciscus Arias, Jesuit in Sevilla, wurde im J. 1533 geboren und starb 1605, in einem Alter von 72 Jahren, in dem größten Ansehen eines Heiligen. Der hl. Franz von Sales empfiehlt in seiner Einleitung zu einem gottseligen Leben die Lesung seiner Werke, welche in mehrere Sprachen übersetzt wurden und Gegenstände der Frömmigkeit behandeln. (Mg.)
