2SS. Alexandra Imperatrix et Socii, MM. (21. April). Die hl. Alexandra war die Gemahlin des Kaisers Diocletian und wurde zum christlichen Glauben bekehrt, weil sie sah, wie der hl. Georgius die schrecklichsten Martern erduldete und doch unversehrt und standhaft blieb. Deßhalb in's Gefängniß geworfen, wurde sie verurtheilt, mit dem hl. Georgius enthauptet zu werden, gab aber im Gefängnisse ihren Geist auf. Ihre drei Diener, Namens Apollo, Isaacius und Codratus, folgten dem Beispiele ihrer Herrin, mußten aber auch wegen ihrer Bekehrung den Tod erleiden, und zwar starben die ersten zwei den Tod des Hungers im Gefängnisse, der dritte aber, Codratus, wurde enthauptet. Dieß geschah zu Nikomedia im Jahre 302.
