S. Ambrosianus, Ep. et M. (1. Sept.) Die Acten über den hl. Ambrosianus (frz. Ambrosignan) sind nach einstimmigem Zeugniß der Kritiker ganz verfälscht. Nach denselben wäre er in einer Stadt des iberischen Asiens, Namens Sarmatika, geboren worden, Bischof von Sarlat gewesen und endlich als Martyrer gestorben. Soviel ist gewiß, daß, er der Patron der Pfarrkirche von Fontaines in der Diözese Langres ist und nach Migne auch in St.-Etienne de Dijon, wo Reliquien von ihm sind, verehrt wird.
