60Leo de Benevento, (19. Nov.), ein Jünger des hl. Franciscus, welcher zu Benavente, einer Stadt in der spanischen Provinz Vallodolid, im J. 1269 entschlief. Er war voll Einfalt und Herzensgüte, weßhalb ihn der hl. Franciscus nur »das sanfte Lamm« nannte. Sein Leichnam ruht zu Arevalo, einem Flecken in Spanien in der Provinz Avila; wenigstens rühmen sich die Einwohner dieses Ortes, ihn zu besitzen. Auf keinen Fall darf er mit dem vorhergehenden Leo59, dem Geheimschreiber des hl. Franciscus, verwechselt werden. (Hub. Men.)
