S. Majorinus, Ep. (27. Juni), welchen Einige Meliorinus, Andere Malerinus nennen. Dieser hl. Majorinus ist der erste Bischof von Acqui (Aquae) (Montserrat) gewesen. Hier ruht sein hl. Leib in der neuen ihm zu Ehren erbauten Cathedrale, nachdem er früher in der ältern dem hl. Petrus geweihten Cathedrale beigesetzt war. (Ugh. Ital. S. IV. 327.) Er hat vielleicht im vierten Jahrhunderte gelebt. Nähere Angaben über sein Leben und Wirken sind nicht vorhanden. (V. 278).
