Antonia, S. (3)

3S. Antonia, M. (4. Mai). Die hl. Antonia mußte in der Verfolgung des Kaisers Diocletian zu Nikomedia in Bithynien schreckliche Martern erdulden, wurde nach denselben drei Tage lang an einem Arme aufgehängt, sodann zwei Jahre in's Gefängniß eingeschlossen und zuletzt verbrannt. Einige halten dafür, diese hl. Antonia sei dieselbe mit der hl. Antoninas, die zu Nicäa unter Diocletian gelitten hat. Ihr Haupt befindet sich zu Prag, wohin es mit vielen andern Reliquien im J. 1673 kam. Ihr Name steht am 4. Mai im Mart. Rom.
