Odulphus, S.

S. Odulphus (Odolphus) (12. Juni), Priester zu Utrecht, der im 9. Jahrhunderte lebte. Von adeligen Eltern zu Orescoth abstammend, machte er in der Gottseligkeit wie in den Wissenschaften große Fortschritte, wurde Priester und übernahm die Leitung der Pfarrei Orescoth. Bald aber wandte er sich nach Utrecht, wo ihn der hl. Bischof Friedrich freudig aufnahm, und zum Kanoniker machte. Sein Name findet sich im Mart. Rom. pro Canon. Regular. Er wird vorzüglich in Zaandick, wo er gewirkt hat, um die Bewohner Zaanlands zu bekehren, und eben so in Staveren u. a. O. verehrt. Vgl. S. Fredericus1. (II. 591.)
