Podius, S. (1)

1S. Podius, Ep. (28. Mai). Der heil. Podius, Erzbischof von Florenz, wurde nach Baronius (notae) i. J. 1003 zum Oberhirten dieser Kirche erkoren, während er nach Henschen i. J. 990 Bischof wurde und im J. 1002 nach zwölfjähriger Amtsführung starb. Die Franzosen nennen ihn St. Poge. Sein Grab erhielt er in der Kathedralkirche. Erhebungen seiner Reliquien haben in den Jahren 1439 und 1584 stattgefunden.
