8Cyrus Flavius, Bischof von Cotyea in Phrygien, wurde gegen Ende des 4. Jahrhunderts zu Panopolis in Aegypten geboren, widmete sich den Wissenschaften und dem Kriegswesen, und wurde nach seiner Bekehrung für würdig gehalten, obengenannten Bischofssitz einzunehmen. Er starb im Rufe der Heiligkeit unter Kaiser Leo. (Mg.)
