1S. Eubulus, (28. Febr.) Vom Griech. εὖ = wohl etc., und βουλή = Rath, also Εὖβουλος = einer der recht rathet, ein guter Rathgeber etc. – Dieser hl. Eubulus war ein eifriger Christ und Schüler des hl. Apostels Paulus, mit welchem er während seiner zweiten Gefangenschaft in Rom war, was aus 2. Timoth. 4, 21 hervorgeht, wo er dem Timotheus Grüße von christlichen Brüdern meldet, und dabei den hl. Eubulus voransetzt. S. S. Nymphas. (III. 719.)
