Jarento. (10. Febr. al. 9. Nov.), bei Lechner auch Geranus genannt, war Abt des Klosters St. Benignus in Dijon und soll am 10. Febr. 1105 gestorben seyn. Bucelin, der ihn in den Supplementen am 9. Nov., im Hauptwerke aber ebenfalls am 10. Febr. hat, und Andere geben ihm den Titel »selig«; Lechner, der ihn »ehrwürdig« nennt, gibt ihm das Todesjahr 1111. Nach Bucelin war er einst Herzog von Burgund und wurde dann Cluniacensermönch. Bei den Bollandisten ist er am 10. Febr. unter den »Uebergangenen«. (II. 378.)
