5S. Jonas Thaumaturgus, (15. Juni), Metropolit von Kiew (Kiovia) in Rußland, starb um das J. 1470, wie der Bollandist Papebroch am 15. Juni (II. 1103) nach dem russischen Menologium von 1679 angibt. Doch will der Bollandist Stilting in der den 2. Septemberband einleitenden Abhandlung »über den Glauben der Russen« (Sept. II. XXV. nr. 105–107) diesen Artikel gestrichen wissen; denn nicht Jonas Hlezna (Hlesna), der katholische Patriarch von Kiew, sei in jenem Menologium angegeben, sondern das sei ein schismatischer Patriarch, nämlich Jonas II. von Moskau um die Mitte des 15. Jahrhunderts, während damals, als Kiew noch zu Polen gehörte und daher katholisch war, ein Isidorus und Gregorius II. den dortigen Patriarchenstuhl inne hatten etc. Bei Migne (II. 1491), wo obiger Jonas ebenfalls vorkommt, hat er das Todesjahr 1469 und heißt »ehrwürdig«. †
