S. Polymius (24. Aug.), Bischof in Armenien, vorhin König in Indien, wurde nach einem Hds. H.-L. durch den hl. Bartolomäus zum Glauben bekehrt und getauft. Nach dem Tode der hhl. Apostel legte er Krone und Scepter nieder, wurde zum Bischof bestellt und bekleidete sein Amt mit Eifer zwanzig Jahre lang. Sichere geschichtliche Nachrichten fehlen.
