S. Contardus, (16. Apr.), mit dem Zunamen Peregrinus, soll aus dem Geschlechte der Markgrafen von Ferrara gewesen seyn. Er wallfahrtete mit andern Pilgern nach Compostella in Spanien, und begab sich hernach auf einen Berg bei Brona unweit Pavia, auf dem er begraben werden wollte. Er starb im Jahre 1249 und wurde von Gott nach seinem Tode durch viele Wunder verherrlicht.
